Short profile:This non-profit, nongovernmental, humanitarian organization, Iskra (Spark), founded in 2008, is focused on amelioration of the position of marginalized groups in Serbian society. Iskra is working with the children from the Belgrade` s Centre for protection of newborn, small children and youth, Zvečanska street, which provides service to those children whose parents are not able to take care of them, due to different reasons, and can’t provide them with the normal life and growing up conditions.

Iskra wanted to influence the development of a positive environment where we can encourage children through work, compassion and creativity. And for that reason, we organized the classes of computer skills and English language as well the other workshops in several Belgrade` s orphanages.

Iskra believes that education through our workshops is an effective tool in upsurge children's imagination and building self-esteem. We believe in the power of knowledge which transforms human lives.
