Short profile: Institute of Ukrainian Studies is non-prophit, non-governmental organization. The main goal of the organization is to develop young leaders and spread true and positive image of Ukraine throughout the World by developing and increasing cooperation with NGOs; civil society, state and international organizations and bodies within Ukraine and from abroad.
In its daily activities our organization organizes projects aimed at increasing cooperation with local youth, insuring active participation of young people in local life. We also closely cooperate with the Department of the Youth, family and Sports in organizing different youth activities including youth seminars, conferences, trainings, etc. Our members mostly are students of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and Lviv National Polytechnic University. Their academic interests vary from International Relations and Journalism, to Mechanical Physics. Our members come out different social backgrounds including youth with fewer opportunities, youth from rural areas and youth with disabilities.
Our main projects include:
- All-Ukrainian Charitable Marathon “Race for Children”, the main goal of the project was to raise awareness of the society and businesses to the problem of social responsibility by collecting money for maternity hospitals during the charitable marathon from Eastern to Western borders of Ukraine.
- International School of Ukrainian Studies. This is the school of Ukrainian language, culture, history and traditions for the youth from around the World which takes place every summer in Lviv.
- In cooperation with European Youth Parliament – Ukraine we organize Lviv Regional Session of the European Youth Parliament.
- Youth in Action since 2007
