Short profile:The Latvian Young Farmers’ Club It is a non-governmental rural youth organization.
The main goals are development of young farmers’ movement, education of the club members and to provide them with different kind of services and information.
Our members are 16 – 40 years old; most of them are young farmers and rural youth representatives. The organization is open to all young persons interested in rural issues.
The Club’s main activities are in the following areas:
• Education, information and advertising;
Every year we organize different agricultural competitions, leadership training courses and seminars on various topics (Intensive orchards, Non-traditional agriculture).
• Sports and leisure time;
Every year we organize different kinds of sports games. Autumn sport games, Water and winter sport games organized by local young farmers’ clubs are traditional.
• International co-operation;
Since 1993 LYFC is a member organization of the European Committee for Young Farmers and 4H Clubs (Rural Youth Europe). This international rural youth organization has more than 20 members all over Europe. Participation in the activities of REY strengthens our organization and sets goals for the work in the future.
We co-operate with the European Union Council of Young Farmers’ (CEJA) and the Rural Youth group from the European Confederation of Agriculture (CEA).

The Latvian Young Farmers’ club (LYFC) is non-governmental youth organization. The goals of the organziation is unformal education of rural youth and rural development.
Our members are 16-40 years old rural youth representatives. The main activities of Latvian Young Farmers’ club: intercultural exchange programmes, different agricultural competitions, leadership training courses, international agricultural training, sport games, camps, different kind of cultural events and contests. We are working with all topics which are important for self development of youngsters from rural areas.
