Short profile:The comprehensive school Wilhelm-Kaisen is situated on the left bank of the River Weser in the old Hanseatic City of Bremen, a port in the north of Germany near the North Sea and the smallest federal state of Germany. (Altogether, there are three federal states that are cities: Hamburg, Berlin and Bremen). For 55 years the federal state of Bremen has consisted of the two cities Bremen and Bremerhaven. They lie 60 kilometres apart. Bremerhaven was the main port for German emigrants to the USA. There is a special museum where you can learn everything about emigration. Nowadays, however, millions of German cars are shipped overseas via the huge container terminal.
