Short profile:Marasma is a non-profit cultural association involved in cultural events and intercultural exchanges which is located in Fano (in the Marche Region, Italy). Since 1998 Marasma has been working to support intercultural education and to develop music oriented initiatives throughout the territory.
Most of the Marasma projects are addressed to young people and have a European dimension. Our work is aimed at improving Youth initiatives, cultural exchanges and European Voluntary Service in our province. Not only do we send individual young people and youth groups all over Europe, but we also motivate local structures to welcome young Europeans and provide hosts for them. Transnational vocational training initiatives (Leonardo da Vinci ) are also part of our job. It is very important for us to promote knowledge, aptitude and skills necessary for young people for a successful integration into working life and the full exercise of citizenship. Small groups of young people, and those who work with them, are often helped by Marasma to develop their creativity, to make aware of uman rights, equality and democratic life, to be actively involved in the decisions that affect their life at local and European level.
