Short profile:IFDMYE - The International Forum of Decision Makers on Youth and School Exchange is a non-profit international Association. It was established following the first successful International Conference held in Israel in 1992. It has since been proceeded by 4 more successful conferences: Germany in 1994, Spain in 1996 and Belgium in 2000, China 2002.

Main Aims of IFDMYE:
 To increase the role of Local Authorities in developing Youth and School Exchange
 Bringing together decision-makers in this field to establish new partnerships and exchange ideas and experience
 To develop models for bridging hostility to friendship
 To minimize xenophobia through youth and school exchanges
 To develop ways to reduce costs in youth exchange

Activities of IFDMYE
 The periodical organization of international conferences and exhibitions, seminars, workshops and training courses
 The establishment and maintenance of a permanent office for the collection, study and distribution of information and research in the field of Youth and School Exchange.
 Cooperation with national and international agencies, as well as governmental and non-governmental offices, research and academic institutes
 Encouraging programmes for the exchange of young people
 Coordinating partners to provide high-quality, educational programmes at lower costs
