Short profile: | Federation of Youth Clubs of Armenia was established November 10, 1999 by uniting several youth clubs that had a history of 7-8 years. Among these member clubs there was the first youth non governmental organisation of Armenia – Youth Academy.
FYCA got official registration as a Non Governmental Organisation by the Ministry of Jurisprudence of RA in June of 2000 and later reregistered in November of 2005
Today FYCA unites more then 70 youth professional and local clubs, centres and organisations that act in all the regions of Armenia and Artsakh as well.
People joining us are the ones who are young by the essence of their hearts that have got dreams in spite of being too young to know everything they do believe that the World could be changed into a better place to live.
By uniting youth clubs Our mission is to raise the role of young generation in the suntainable development process of the State and its Civil Society.
The aims and objectives of FYCA are:
a) develop “clubby” movement, encourage open youth work, unite youth clubs, support the cooperation of organised youth
b) support the formation of a new value system among young generation, peace building between generations, contribute to the acceleration of legal and political culture, the advocacy of youth social political rights, raise the youth participation level
c) make contacts, enlarge the scope of cooperation and experience exchange with international and Diaspora youth organisations, contribute to the formation and development of youth information network, realisation of international youth projects, build partnership among Armenian youth organisations
d) contribute the sustainable development of electoral systems, human rights’ protection, and democracy; support the on-going process the development of social-legal state and civil society in Armenia
e) support to the establishment of youth centres, enlarge the scope of various services for youth, and contribute the involvement and integration of young people into their own community life voluntary work
f) contribute to the environment protection, encourage youth ecological projects, and tighten the review of human sustainable development
g) implement methods of non formal education during the youth work, organise training courses, conferences, festivals, exhibitions, camps, campaigns, symposiums, and other events and make researches.
The main goals of our organisation activities are legality, voluntarism, advocacy and publicity.
The logo of Federation of Youth Clubs of Armenia is an equal three sided triangle which symbolises unity, sustainability and movement.
