Short profile:Free Space is a non-government, non-profit organization with mission of affirmation and obtaining freedom for every individual through education and development of awareness about significance of civil society, improvement of participation of citizens in decision making processes, and presentation and implementation of modern tendencies and innovations in cultural policy. We are situated in a small town in Serbia named Gornji Milanovac. We are young organization, established in 2007. So far we have implemented only one project in partnership with Fund for Open Society of Serbia - EU in My Local Community - and managed to raise motivation of citizens of Gornji Milanovac to participate on, at that time, upcoming elections, as well as to promote citizens’ activism and pro-European ideas. Our future plans are to work much more with youth, primarily on development of local youth strategy together with local authorities and afterwards on implementing its policies, and on promotion of pro-European ideas.
