Short profile:SFERA is created on the agreement of 11 voluntary organizations from Russia and it aims to promote national and international volunteering and charity in Russia. The main activities of SFERA are:
- International workcamps
- EVS and other kinds of long-term volunteering
- National voluntary events
- Educational activities for organizations involved in social service
The headquarter of SFERA is situated in Nizhniy Novgorod. The majority of SFERA staff has a big experience in voluntary work in Russian voluntary organizations, educated by SALTO EECA seminars and training. There are 11 staff members and 7 permanent volunteers in SFERA today. Since 2007 SFERA is the official multiplier of Youth in Action program in Russia.
SFERA is a partner organization of the biggest voluntary networks in Europe: Service Civil International (SCI) and Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organizations. More than 1000 volunteers participate in SFERA activities every year.
