Short profile:Caritas Bulgaria is a federation of three independent diocesan catholic organizations.Caritas is an educator of spiritual values and it engages the people to be committed in helping their neighbor. Caritas sensibilizes, mobilizes, animates and inspires the volunteers, giving everybody the opportunity to demonstrate and develop their feeling of compassion.
The focus of the organization is at those groups of people in our society who for various reasons lead with difficulty active social life and need special support.
The social services provided by Caritas are in support of: lonely and ill elderly people; disabled children and young people; the education and management of the free time of children at risk; people dependant on psycho-active substances; asylum-seekers and refugees; single mothers; victims of natural disasters- floods and fires.
