Short profile:The voluntary association “Gruppo Vulcano” was born in 2001 in order to foster youth participation using original and innovative tools. \\r\\nActually it belongs to a network of social cooperatives, voluntary associations and informal groups operating in Bassano del Grappa area.\\r\\nPursuing its purposes, “Gruppo Vulcano” has tried to facilitate the dialogue among citizenship, entrepreneurship, public sector, third sector, civil society and youths. Particularly, the association has developed skills and competences related to coordination, cooperation and integration of youth on issues concernig peace, justice, cultural diversity and inclusion of people with fewer opportunities. Since 2007 the association has organized the “SocialDay” in collaboration with schools and other informal groups; it consists in a working day in which students and youths spend their time in doing manual job and their earnings fund social projects in poor countries.\\r\\nFurthermore, “Gruppo Vulcano” fosters activities regarding topics as arts and culture from a new point of view, as a new method of education and learning. \\r\\nAnother strong belief of the association regards the importance of promoting exchange programmes among people coming from different countries. It is believed that it\\\'s one of the better way to raise awareness on what happen out of the “small” community where people live. For this reason “Gruppo Vulcano” already has partnerships with other organisation from South of Italy, Portugal, Kosovo, Tanzania, Bolivia and Brasil.\\r\\n\\r\\nMAIN ACTIVITIES:\\r\\n- Public Events: music concerts, juvenile art exhibitions\\r\\n- SocialDay\\r\\n- Second-hand book market\\r\\n- Training course direct to women\\r\\n- Educational travels and exchange programmes\\r\\n
