Short profile: Ljudska univerza Radovljica (Public institution for adult education) is local, non-govermental organization for adult education. One of it`s programmes is PUM (PLYA-Project learning for young adults), which is non-formal, educational programme. It is designed for young people, aged 15-25, who dropped out of school (primary, secondary) and are unemployed. The main goal is to motivate them to finish the school. We provide them learning help, support, different activities (working with media, cooking, computer lessons, drawing, photo, drama, etc.) and projects. PLYA provides positive educational experiences and encourages the continuance of the abandoned education. It gives the opportunity to the young people to present themselves to the local community. The interests and capabilities of every individual are considered. Ljudska univerza also cooperates in different projects as Phare, Equal, Poki (Quality education for adults), programme Youth in action, EVS-Evropean voluntary service).
