Short profile: The Archeoclub d'Italia is an association of cultural character at national level. It counts with more than 20 years of existence and with more than 200 seats distributed by all the Italian geography. Its main activity consists of developing between the citizens, in particular the young people, the interest by the Cultural Heritage.
The centre of Campobello di Licata, founded on 1998, has its main activity in the knowledge and the exploitation of the Archaeological Heritage (by the Kalat Project), counting for it with the support of the University of Palermo and the Municipality of Campobello di Licata. Of its work of these last years, we can emphasized the creation of the archaeological park "Parco Antico di Iachinu Filì", the celebration every summer of the Kalat International Summer Camps of Archaeology (with 11 editions already realized), the survey of the local territory (with the location of more than 160 archaeological sites) and its work of "cultural diffusion" by hosting already more than 60 volunteers EVS from all Europe. On the other hand, because it is the only Eurodesk Information Point of Agrigento’s province, it also carries out an important job about information of opportunities for the youngsters of the province. Recently, the Archeoclub of Campobello has inaugurated an exhibition which shows the results of its 10 years of life and ArcheoloDida, a centre of didactic archaeology.
