Short profile:Arkhangelsk regional youth environmental public organization “Этас”/Aetas.“Этас”/Aetas (aetas – lat. “time of life”) has existed since 1999.The main goal of youth organization is the environmental education and participation in solving ecological and civic society development problems with the help of the influence on society and authority.We work according to the principals of sustainable development – it is the balance between environmental, social and economic interests.The main directions of our work are: conservation of biodiversity, sustainable using of the nature resources, development of the ecotourism on the territory of Arkhangelsk region, environmental law, climate changes, the problem of burni9ng garbage, the problem of safety of NPP and rocket-cosmic activity, the problem of GMO products using etc. Also Aetas works actively with development of youth policy in Arkhangelsk: our volunteers are the members of City youth Council, we always take participation in making local youth programs. Every summer Aetas arranges a summer camp where youth have not only a good rest but also give all possible help to the protected areas, lead research work and create new and new ways of solving environmental problems. Today we can say that Aetas is the only youth environmental organization and the unique public organization in Arkhangelsk region, because it is independent, has the democracy structure (Annual meeting – is the main controls, administrative body, making strategically important decision for the organization), gives a real possibility to youth for their self-education, self-development and self-realization.Aetas is always open for the new friends and welcome new partners for corporation!!!
