Short profile:HELP was established in Split, Croatia, 1992. as NGO for youth help and help for people with drugs related problems (IDUs- intravenous drug users). The residence of HELP is city of Split, but the field of activities is wider. Our activities are running in several other cities and islands in county of Dalmatia, as well as some other Croatian counties. As NGO for youth help, HELP try to develop youth life quality, as well as reduce the harm caused by drug use. Target group are youth in general age from 14-29, and high risk population of drug users (IDUs), commercial sex workers (CSW), and PLWHIV (people living with HIV/AIDS). The goal of HELP is enable yang people to take more active role in society. To make them capable for more active role is necessary to inform and educate them. Through Youth Information Center (YIC), we try to collect and distribute as more useful information as possible, without political, religious or other influence. Since 2006. Help has been accredited as hosting, sending and coordinating organization, and 2008. has been nominated as Contact Point for Croatia for the project EU “Youth in Action”. We have 10 full time job position, and around 120 volunteers.
