Short profile:The Marian Movement Of Economic And Social Initiatives Society (MRIES) was founded in 1997. It is a non-commercial organization supporting enterprise, local social and economic development and careers and economic restructuring of the Puszcza Mariańska District and Region. We initiate and take part in the activities striving to develop the economic potential of the district and the region and also the improvement of the inhabitants’ living standards. The society is an example of a grassroots initiative over the divisions of political and outlook nature.
In 2005 we were granted the status of an organization of public benefit and are registered in the National Court Register at number 0000092138.
The Centre of Enterprise and Agribusiness was set up in 1997 as a part of the Society and The District Information Centre – in 2003. The Centre has been successful in building the modern system of advisory and information services for the region inhabitants and also of raising EU funds, obtaining access to labour markets in EU countries; in dealing with problems of civil rights and civic duties.
