Short profile:Governorship of Derince Provincial District was established after the Marmara Earthquake in 1999.Due to effective and fast industrialization there has been major migration and having grown with the increasing population it became formally a town in 2000.The district has a population of about 120000 .to its roads leading from Istanbul to Anatolia and its support of traffic and freight loads in the straits of the Marmara Sea, the Derince Port carries out very efficient delivery-shipment and Ro-Ro journeys. Derince, where the industrial features of the Kocaeli province are mostly found, is one of the industrial centres of the city and houses large industrial organizations besides business centres and smaller industries. So our organization has the primary role to organize administrative issues in the district. There are several headquarters under the responsibility of our organization. They are mainly. Directory of National Education,Directory of revenue,Police Department,Civil Registry,Health Department,Land registry,Tax Administration,Agriculture Department,Union of Villages and all other administrative departments. The organization also has Projects coordination unit which coordinates all European and international/national projects of the Derince Provincial District.
