Short profile:VHEM Youth Group involves teenagers from from different socio-economic levels. It is established in January 2010 under the body of Wider education Centre. They have participated actively in different activities and events in the district such as drama, folk dancing, national festivals, sports activities and tournaments and other events and they still do. Their aim is to bring the cultural and traditional heritage of the district to life and to make the district a well-known place to people from other parts of Turkey and the world. They have good capability to communicate with people from different countries and they can speak English enough to express themselves. They are eager to take responsibility and open to new developments and tendency to use them. Our aim is to help youngsters develop their life skills by using non-formal learning tools. We try to encourage youngsters to a peaceful cohabitation with people coming from different cultures, countries and social conditions by giving them the opportunity to confront themselves with others in an intercultural environment which stimulates the development of a social conscience. Youngsters can experience themselves in a perfect environment to socialize with other people from different countries and get to know different cultures and tradition.
