My name is Mehmet Burak BAYINDIR. I was born in 26.05.1983, from Turkey. I’m friendly, honest, polite person who is good at being a part of any team and likes working hard. I like reading about politics, swimming, listening to music. Also I like to know about different cultures and teach about my culture. I always believe that people from different cultures can make dialogue other the world would be better place to live.

I completed 8-year primary school education in my town. Then I went to high school for 3 years in Urfa and finally now I am studying in Marmara University, department of Dentistry.

Volunteering for a social work requires goodness, continuity and sociability. I think that is the best way of helping others in need and know different cultures.

Also, people must help disaster struck ones because of earthquake, flood, fire; wars can happen anywhere and must join disaster relief teams. Therefore, I decided to join a search and rescue team a few years ago. Firstly I received training about first aid and received a certificate of it from health department. Then I received training about search and rescue, also received a certificate about it from the authorized body in Turkey. Now I am volunteering for EVS program because I will be living a different experience in Europe. I want to observe and learn about the rescue works there and learn how to help people wherever they are in the world. I want to learn it because not only the people in my country will benefit from it but also for all the people in the world because search and rescue teams may go helping far away from their own country as you know.

As European Volunteer Service applicant, I would like to take part in helping projects especially about disaster relief or related subjects. I am sure that being an EVS will give me the chance of better at helping others in need.
