Short profile:ComeUnaMarea" is an organization no profit with a board of governors.

It’s an association funded by a group of professional people with the target to promote and preserve the Sicilianity" as Cultural heritage. Its aim is to study the culture of the region spreading all what is connected with its history, art and whatever linked with culture, promoting cultural meetings and events, study visits. Great importance has always being given to activities which focus on oral traditions and expressions including the language, theatre but also food traditions, as they express a continuity in history and constitute the main element of the cultural identity of an ethnic group.

The Association also realize events that sights to help the European citizens to learn living entirety harmoniously and to exceed the differences inherent to their cultural, religious and linguistic diversity. Above all to induce the sensitization of the young person to the importance to develop one citizenship European active and open on the world, respectful of the diversity cultural and found on the value common of the UE.

"ComeUnaMarea" has also the objective to promote equal rights and opportunities for man and women. It also manages extracurricular activities in the schools and provide adult education in almost every sphere of human activity: practical arts and crafts, cultural, theatre, traditional foods.

It does not have employees it is taken advantage of experts with professional assignment. Its activity takes advantage itself of financial participations granted from public Institution.
