Short profile:The Association was founded in January 2005 by young people responsible with organizing cultural events. Its name – Regős Educational Youth Association, meaning ‘minstrel’ – was given after long debates and reconciliation.
The mission of the Association is to contribute to the general development of the cultural life of youth in south – eastern Transsylvania. Its aim is to develop the cultural life and the structure of the youth of south – eastern Transsylvania, to identify, cherish and promote its cultural traditions and artistic values in the region and abroad. One of its targets is co – operation with other civilian youth organizations, which have the same mission; providing cultural programmes and activities to children and young people, helping the foundation of youth groups and civilian organizations, and supporting their activity. The most significant project of the association is the ‘Háromszéki Diáknapok’ (‘Students ` Days of Háromszék), which have been organized since 2005 by yearly changing groups of students. Our further programmes are: The Most Youngish Settlement of Háromszék (2006), The Meeting of Children and Youth Folk Dance Groups at Perkő Transsylvania (2006), Training Camps for Amateur Artists and Directors (2006), the activity of the Office Responsible with Training Managers (2006 – 2007), Tournament of Knights – International camp (Poland, 2006).
The association is formed of 6 members, to which 15-20 young volunteers join yearly in order to have the programmes carried out.
