Short profile:Aetas” carries out its activity since 1999. members of organization are students and young specialists, representatives of different professions and directions (ecologists, biologists, journalists, translators, culture experts, social workers and others).
The main goal of the “Aetas” organization is – participation in ecological problems decision with the help of education, enlightenment, strengthening of the ecological information influence on the society and authority, and furthermore creation of the public discussion on the ecological problems of the region topic.
Its work the members of organization set up according to the principles of sustainable development that is the balance of ecological, social and economic interests. The first-priority directions for organization are biodiversity protection and rational using of forest resources, storing and utilization of domestic and industrial wastes, ecological aspects of hydrocarbon extraction, atomic objects security, rocket-cosmic activity influence on the people’s health, the problem of using genetically modified organisms in products. Also, volunteers arrange green spaces around the city by growing trees and bushes for it by themselves. The local groups lead its activity in the regions of area.
