Short profile: | Youth Public Movement (YPM) “Partner” was created in August, 2001 by young leaders, specialists in the sphere of law, sociology, medicine, psychology and other.
In August 2006, the Organization was officially registered at the Odessa Regional Department of Justice and nowadays counts 34 staff personnel and combines more than 50 individual members, volunteers of organization. For the time of work workers of Organization implemented 29 separate projects and published more than 35 informational materials. The main target group of organization, beneficiaries who receives the most part of services of organization, are children and youth in the age of 14-35 years. That’s why 95% of personnel and volunteers of organization are students and young specialists in different spheres and sciences. Our work with young people includes rendering full specter of psychological, social, medical and preventive services to different layers of vulnerable young people – men having sex with men (MSM), commercial sex-workers (CSW), female of sex business (FSB), street children, children deprived parents guardianship, young injecting drug users (IDUs), refugees and asylum seekers, etc.
The Goal of tge Movement is – negative phenomena prevention among youth, participation in rendering of help and support in the questions of saving sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS/STI prevention, healthy lifestyle and gender equality propaganda, protection of rights and freedoms of young people, drawing of Public, Governmental and Business Structures to the implementation of Goals and Tasks of YPM “Partner”, ensuring to all layers of population access to different information in this sphere and wide specter of socio-psychological services.
Main Activities of YPM “Partner” are:
* Healthy lifestyle propaganda;
* Saving of sexual and reproductive health of youth;
* Negative phenomena prevention (smoking, alcoholism, drug-using) among youth;
* HIV/AIDS/STI (sexually transmitted infections) prevention among youth;
* Protection and lobbying of rights of most vulnerable groups of population (MSM, FSB, IDU, street children);
* Forming and development of leadership qualities;
* Human trafficking prevention;
* Gender equality propaganda;
* Assistance in development of Youth Movement in Ukraine;
* Violence in Family Prevention;
* Advocacy work among vulnerable groups of population and decision-makers. |
