Short profile:ESN's mission is to foster student mobility in Higher Education under the principle of SHS - Student Helping Student. ESN is present in 34 countries with 345 sections and it works for the creation of a more mobile and flexible education environment by supporting and developing student exchange from different levels, and providing an intercultural experience also to those students who cannot access a period abroad ("internationalisation at home"). ESN also provides information and support through its volunteer students to incoming or outgoing students with a scholarship under the framework of LLP (Lifelong Learning Programme) programmes. In summary, ESN works in the interest of University student mobility in Europe and it operates on three levels: Local, National, and International.
Each ESN section is related to a Higher Education Institution, and provides its services to both exchange students studying at Italian universities, and to Italian entities that are involved in exchange programmes. ESN offers help in academic, social, and practical integration of foreign students studying at a HEI. This is mainly done through activities in the local sections, such as finding accommodation, mentoring, and the organisation of cultural/leisure activities.
Most common services provided by our local Sections:

-Outgoing and homecoming students;
-Erasmus On The Road;
-The ESN Italia Guidebook;
-ICE (Incontro Culturale Erasmus);
-Evento Nazionale;
-ESN Village;
Thanks to these projects, ESN Italia has established strong partnerships with institutions like the Ministry of Youth, the Ministry for Community Policies, the Europarliament, the European Commission and the LLP National Agency.
