Short profile:Our organisation is working since 2000 on rural development issues. We have realised training courses about rural tourism, we are the official Rural Development Office of the microregion of Pécs since 2007, and we have realised several projects on youth employment together with the Regional Labour Office.
Our association has been hosting and sending volunteers since 2008. The main profile of our organsiation is rural development, however during our daily work we found the work with the youths very important. This brought our motivation to start with the YiA programme. Until now our association realised several sending EVS projects, one long-term and one short-term hosting, and now we are hosting one and coordinating two projects. The coordinated projects are dealing with children (Koch Valéria Bilingual Kindergarten) and disabled young people (Kerek Világ Foundation). The hosting project is deling with youth of disabilities in Hungary and in Tanzania. We have had very positive experience with volunteers so far, both in hosting and coordinating role. Our mentor-support was a success in every each project. Furthermore one member of our staff have been EVS-volunteer as well.
We also started with a new short-term project in a model farm, where young people with fewer opportunities or disabilities can take part in EVS activities.
