Short profile:Code-X International is a Dutch organization that works in Youth and Community Development. Our objective is to give young Europeans from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to live an intercultural experience while at the same time becoming civically engaged and responsible world citizens.
Founded April 1st 2004, Code-X International is a young organisation, though parts of our activities have been running since 1998. At this moment 4 staff members work at the office and 8 volunteers are actively involved in free-lance work for the organisation. We also have 3 internships each year.
One of our main activities is sending and hosting individual youth volunteers through the European Voluntary Service (EVS) program. Other activities at Code-X International include coordinating and participating in youth seminars, training and group exchanges. Most of these activities are funded through the European Commission’s Youth in Action Programme. We have cooperated with many different countries in Europe, Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean countries. Though our EVS experiences also reaches Africa, Asia and South America.
