Short profile:We are a non- governmental organization, consisting of 5 members, who are students on European Studies and International Relations. We would be eager to take part in intercultural communication, to understand what can the European idea become for us, students in Eastern Europe and also to witness the changes that our multicultural society is undergoing through opening to different ideologies. But, our aim is not just simply to become open - minded, but to find solutions to core cultural, political and most importantly social problems occurring within the European stage:) I hope we can find cooperative spirits in order to fulfill our organization\'s aim.
CESPRI was found in the autumn of 2005, as a response to the initiatives of young students and researchers from Cluj- Napoca (Cluj county, Romania). The latters felt the striking need of serious debates over the European Union and its requirments for the application of the settled rules in Romanian context. In addition, it was settled that there is an utmost interest showed on debating such issues as : situation of Romanian politics and civil society, more importantly, the lack of inted- disciplinary and inter-sectorial dialogue.\\r\\nThus, the aim of the initiators of this project (CESPRI) was to launch debates on themes of utmost importance on the ground of politics, social needs and also to deal with the above mentioned topics with specialists from the academic era- such as : politicians, representatives of the mass- media, students, and last but not least, ordinary citizens- in order to emphasize the pragmatic issues occurring within the society and against the society. Hereby, the long- term objective being: the finding of possible solutions to these problems.\\r\\n
