Short profile:My name is Elena Romeo and I am a twenty six years old female from Italy. I\\\\\\\'m looking for an interesting projectto volunteer abroad.In particular, I was looking for projects concern social difficuties, health problems and other different activities, all thought-provoking to me. I graduated in Modern Languages, and I received a MA in translation. My final project has been a translation of a paper of Unicef about prevention of AIDS in the Sub-Saharan Africa.I have long had a practical interest in the theme of peace and justice, opposed to the war and every violent action, which is confirmed because I regularly undertake voluntary work in ARCI and another cultural no profit association called BAMBINI VITTIME ONLUS. All These experiences give me the opportunity to raise and further develop my leadership potential and my communication skills.
I would very much like the opportunity to work alongside other volunteers and to be part of a team to ensure that those who are less privileged may be given every opportunity to develop their personal and cultural skills. What pushes me to leave is my constant willingness to learn, to know different cultures, to understand and jump barriers of misunderstanding our civil society that we encounter everyday.
