Short profile:Educational center is founded in the year 2000, in July, and registered in 2001 in May, as non-government, non-political and non-profit organization with the vision of developed civil society who respect and protect the rights of every citizen.
The mission of ECK is to promotion and development of civil society, trough life long non-formal education and support to active citizen engagementECK has six years of experience in the realization of youth projects, and actions on local and international level. Within the local community ECK is recognizable thanks to numerous activities, realized in cooperation with local institutions, local media, other NGOs and business sector. Since 2003, ECK is actively engaged in the development of school parliaments, as basic organization for implementing the high school pupils in the process of decision making, and their active participation in social life of the community.Since 2008, ECK is a contact point in the European Comission program „Youth in Action“.Since the founding of the organization we deal with the promotion of volunteerism and we active engage the volunteers in the framework of the organization. Thanks to that ECK has around 200 volunteers, from which 50 are active all the time. All of our volunteers are aged from 15 to 30.
