Short profile:TANDEM - these are two offices situated in Czech Republic and Germany with approx. 10 (Czechia) and 15 (Germany) members of staff. The mission of TANDEM is to increase the cooperation and exchange of young people between Czechia and Germany. The centres also offer advice and information in this field. TANDEM: 1) provides information on the neighbouring country, on the financing of exchange projects, on youth work structures and other topics. 2) helps in finding suitable co-operation partners. On both sides of the border, schools and youth clubs are highly interested in youth meetings. 3) organises contact-making seminars on a regular basis, where participants can establish direct contacts. 4) offers the opportunity to meet people from a similar background at seminars organised by TANDEM and learn more about intercultural education, life, institutions and youth work. 5) helps project managers to orient themselves in the jungle of the financial funds aimed at youth exchange work 6) the main direct target groups of TANDEM are youth leaders, teachers, trainers and young volunteers. The own volunteering project is the youth oriented online portal www.ahoj.info, which is a platform for young people from Czechia and Germany interested in the (cooperation with the young people of the) other country.
