Short profile:The Voluntary Labor Corps is a state organization. Fundamental aim of Provincional Headquarters Voluntary Labor Corps in Łódź is to invent the youth good conditions to proper social development, to organize and support different kind of struggle against poverty and unemployment and social pathologies. On the premises of Lodz Province the following divisions subject to VLC act:
- 15 Labor Corps
- 2 Environmental Labor Corps
- 4 Youth Education and Job Centers
Within Youth Education and Job Centers act: Mobile Vocational Information Centers, Youth Career Centers, Youth Job Offices and Vocational Training Centers.
2150 young participants Voluntary Labor Corps in Łódź are educated in some basic forms, one is Grammar Schools with vocational training, another, Grammar Schools for adults, Vocational Schools and handcrafts courses.
Provincional Headquarters Voluntary Labor Corps in Łódź is a designer and executor of international cooperation. The aim of this cooperation is to inculcate a wide range of intercultural competence and to teach our participants how to function in nowadays world. Educational projects with the participation of European Union let for comprehensive realization of the tasks for the youth of Lodz Province, and also increase chances for getting a job on opened European labor market.
VLC since 2004, carried out projects co-financed by the European Social Fund within the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development (Actions 1.1, 1.5), and now the Human Capital Operational Programme (Actions 1.3, 6.3). Our projects have been carried out both for Youth as well as for staff of VLC. Provincional Headquarters VLC also has experience in implementing projects under the Lifelong Learning - Leonardo da Vinci and Youth in Action.
