Hannibal is a youth organisation, acknowledged and funded on national (Flemish) level since 1973.

Hannibal organizes about 23 holidays each Summer for youngsters with and without a disability (aged 6-30 years). We give them the opportunity to go on a holiday, to travel in the country or abroad without their parents or adult carers. The holidays are organized and lead by volunteers (also youngsters aged 16-30). Three fulltime staff members are charged with the general planning, administration, coaching, training, logistic support…

We offer trainings for the volunteers in the field of youthwork and disability. Volunteers with a physical disability can also participate.

Since 1998 Hannibal/JKVG vzw organizes group exchanges in the frame of the European Youth programme. Volunteers and staff members participate at international seminars and trainings regularly.
