Short profile:Mamak District Directorate of National Education is a nonprofit public institution which is responsible for administration and organization of all educational activities conducted by schools within the Mamak district, which is one of the biggest regions of capital Ankara. The main activities of our institution are; administration, supervision and satisfying the physical and financial needs of the schools, assignment of teachers and planning all educational activities in our region. There are 136 formal educational institutions (preprimary, primary and secondary schools), 1 non-formal educational institution and 1 guidance and research center connected to our organization. We have 4505 teachers and 95.820 students in these institutions. We have 58 staff working in Mamak District Directorate of National Education building.

Research and Development Department International Projects Unit in the institution is responsible for European Union projects in the region.It gives seminars and courses to the teachers,consults schools which would like to make EU projects.

The institution is 2nd in the number of applications and 1st in the number of acceptance of the projects in Ankara city.
