Short profile:Gavoi is a town of Sardinia located in the heart of Barbagia on the shores of lake Gusana. It belongs to the province of Nuoro. For more information you can check our website : http://www.comune.gavoi.nu.it. We are very interested in all initiatives and activities related the development for all forms of tourism promotion in order to enhance our territories in particular our natural resources, monuments and archaeological sites. Gavoi is becoming trough the years a great tourist attraction with his traditions and culture. Moreover Gavoi has been recently made part of the small circle of villages awarded the \"orange flag\" the brand of environmental tourist quality by the Touring Club Italiano. Since 2007, the municipality of Gavoi with other close municipalities have constituted a Union of Municipalities “Unione Comuni della Barbagia” and have worked together to develop a common cooperation in issue fields related the whole territory. The objective scope of this Union is to promote a global approach of the territories and a mutual cooperation from which all local populations can benefit.
