Short profile:European Institute for Local Development is an independent non governmental organization whose members are European citizens and organizations that form a network of experts. Regional development and social cohesion are main priorities for the organization while providing opportunities in the field of vocational education and training in various fields by developing methods, ICT solution based tools and activities to suit different groups of people and needs.
EILD is assembled of working groups. EILD is responsible for projects that lead to the strengthening of international collaboration and the mutual recognition between authorities at the national and international level, research institutions, universities and NGO\'s working worldwide.
The organization’s committee is composed of local development stakeholders and specialists from various sectors of the civil society and European Member States: academics, NGOs, development agents, association managers, civil servants and social economy companies, as well as European organizations for local development.
