Short profile:I.T.Y. is a voluntary Youth organisation offering recreational and educational opportunities to young people 11-25 in a rural area of West wales that suffers from high unemployment and rural isolation.We provide a varied programme of arts, sports, health and well being, training and volunteering opportunities. Our main aim is to assist young people in the transition to adulthood enabling them to become active and responsible members of our society. We operate from our purpose converted Youth Centre in Llandysul where we provide an after school club, an evening youth club, training and volunteering opportunities and specific workshops and events. We also take full advantage of our natural environment and partake in community regeneration projects, outdoor activities and residentials to maximise benefits to our service users. We have taken part in several exchange projects previously and are keen to develop this aspect of our work further.
