| Short profile: | Armenian International Youth Office (AIYO) is a non-governmental and non-commercial organization which was founded on October 21, 2005. The mission of the organization is to to see humane, careful, developed, educated, liberal, law-abiding young Armenians who will understand and respect each other. The goals of my NGO are to establish relations with local and international organizations, work out and realize different youth programmes, to create an internet portal for youth through which it will be possible to spread the cultural-educational, voluntary, work and travel programmes, to encourage the youth to participate in voluntary work both in Armenia and abroad, to educate humanitarian and caring attitude in them etc. During the last years, our organization has realized various programmes such as Work and Travel in USA, youth exchange and development programmes, youth camps, youth exchange programmes in Europe, EVS, seminars and training. Since then many young people have taken part in these programmes and every year the number of participants increases. From 2011 to 2013 our volunteers have done EVS in Spain, France, Germany, Romania, Turkey, Czech Republic, Slovenia, worked with teenagers especially from poor and problematic families, participated in ecological EVS programs, worked with children, kindergarten and orphanage. All of those activities are described in details and individual stories on our website (http://youthprogrammes.org). AIYO promotes the youth especially with fewer opportunities to participate in local and international grant programmes, to organize seminars and training for youth development. We are weekly updating workcamp and EVS open applications on our webpage, in order our youth could see them and apply. We create a friendly atmosphere for each of the applicant, processing their applications one by one, interviewing and explaining how they have to process the application, what important things are to be taken into consideration etc. Youth who finds us through our website usually become friends and volunteers of our NGO for a long period. The organization acts in the whole area of the Republic of Armenia and in foreign countries in accordance with RA legislation, international contracts and other countries’ legislation and its own charter. |
