Short profile:World Music Factory is a non-profit organization offering free music education and intercultural learning programs to children and adolescents who live in regions torn by conflict or natural disasters, who are living in socially outcast communities or who have a difficult family background.

Consisting of a team of professional artists, World Music Factory provides intense workshops in a safe, structured and playful environment. In small groups the children learn to construct and play instruments, to experience music through their own body and to learn about cultural traditions of the world.

World Music Factory wants to bring normality into children's life after or while living under extreme conditions. Through music we encourage these children to believe in their capacities and those of others, to express themselves and to strengthen their empathy and compassion for one another.

The projects from the past years have shown that music can make a difference in the life of children and their communities.
