Short profile:The Plunge Open Youth Center is a public institution established by Plunges municipality. The
POYC takes psychological, educational and social care for youngsters aged from 14 to 29. The main
aim of the POYC is to ensure a safe and creative space for young people. Also, a special attention is
given to youth with fewer opportunities and less motivated young people who for various reasons are
unwilling to get involved in active public life and youth activities.
The Plunge Open Youth Center provides a space for an interactive youth work. Direct work with
young people is based on using existing non-formal education tools and methodological frameworks.
At the moment, there are working the director and accountant in the Plunge Open Youth Center. Also
we have some volunteers from NGO “Krantas” that are organizing and supervising the activities of
the POYC.
