Short profile:Youth Center of Epirus is a non-profit organisation located in Ioannina, Epirus region of Greece and created in 2015 as a following result of the informal youth group Youth Center of Epirus, created in 2011. Main aims of Youth Center of Epirus are to improve environment, promote coexistence and to develop the region of Epirus. Therefore, our group organizes and implements local, regional and international level events/ projects, regarding to non-formal education on various topics like environment, volunteerism, health and wellbeing, EU awareness, cultural awareness and social inclusion. Until the year of 2016, YCE have implement and participate in numerous international projects funded by Youth in Action and Erasmus+ programmes and other foundations.
Since 2015, Youtn Center of Epirus hosts international volunteers in Ioannina town, who’s main voluntary missions are related to providing leisure time activities to disadvantaged and disabled youth in several child/youth care centers in Ioannina and Epirus region, to providing foreign language courses to local youth and children, to create educational videos for our web TV, to work on local projects of YCE.
Since 2013, Youth Center of Epirus is a member of Let’s Do It! World-wide environmental movement as a regional coordinator of Let’s Do It national annual clean-up activities in Epirus region.
