Short profile:Associação Raia Aventura is an association for youngsters of all ages, that promotes sport activities in the region of Beira Baixa, situated in the center of Portugal. We promote activities, such as climbing, airsoft, archery, paintball or vacations camps for children and youngsters. We also colaborate with different educational institutes, like secondary schools or the University of Castelo Branco, promoting academic internships in our association, making the students getting to know hoo to organize sport activities.

Young people are the target group of Associação Raia Aventura. EVS volunteers will have the main role to contribute for the developing the integration of young people and local community. Associação Raia Aventura is really motivated to have EVS volunteers, due it will be an experience that will:
- Contribute for building international volunteering,
- Promote Intercultural Exchange;
- Contribute to an healthy lifestyle through sport activities;
- Contribute to a larger participation of youth in local activities and to promote active participation and citizenship;
- Provide opportunities for training and education for young people interested in sports;

The whole idea of participating in a European Voluntary Service (EVS) is an important mean to achieve all these objectives. Thus, by having and integrating volunteers into the community´s life, especially in the activities with children and young people Associação Raia Aventura work with, we hope to give the volunteers the chance to acquire new knowledge, to be aware of the existence of the Portuguese culture and to promote sportive voluntary service.

Through multiples activities, Associação Raia Aventura Association promotes training courses, exchange of experiences, and other diferent kind o learnings connected to sport. Through EVS experience, Assoiação Raia Aventura Association will have the chance to increase the possibilities of the local young people to become also EVS volunteers and to look to voluntary service in a different way.
Through this project, the young volunteers will have the chance to demonstrate their culture, and to put into praciste and learn how to organize and implement this kind of activity.
