Short profile:The JIZ St. Vith is a youth information centre situated in the German speaking Community of Belgium.
Our target public consists of young people between 14 and 30, but also of youth workers (with whom we have a direct and regular contact), parents, teachers (as we work in schools, too) and non-governmental organisations.
We are a non-profit organisation with an administration council. In the centre, 2 people are working full time (1 animator/coordinator and 1 secretary) and 1 person is working half time. Since September 2004 we are also a hosting organisation for EVS, and the volunteer is working 2 days per week within the JIZ.

Our field of activity focuses on 7 areas: work, profession, leisure time, social matters, sexuality, rights and European matters. Besides that, we write and edit our own information material in form of brochures and leaflets. The content of this material is always up-to-datel and relevant to youth matters.
From March onwards, we have interesting offers for all the young people who are seeking a job during the summer holidays. The JIZ is also a selling point for the Euro<26, the European Youth card and we sell youth hostelling cards. Concert tickets can be booked in advance.
