Short profile:The work of Lifsmotun is young and the opportunity to flexibility is much more than in deep-seated associations. The goal of Lifsmotun is to offer people the opportunity to gain experience and to get guidance that has an influence on the individual, gives him opportunity to estimate his former experience, consider it and allow the circumstances to reform his life for the purpose to become a more complete and mature person. Lifsmotun runs a cultural tourist service at its headquarters Hjalli, publishes, runs courses and lectures, takes part in and supports cultural activities and educational institutions in the local surrounding, works on projects for the environment- and improving agriculture together with the owners of Hjalli and forestry associations in Sudur-Thingeyjarsysla. All the leaders of Lifsmotun have a personal experience of participation in voluntary work, both in Iceland and in other places in Europe.
