Short profile:The Local Democracy Agency of Kosovo was launched on February 2003 in Gjilan/Gnjilane. Its leader partner is the French organisation Kosovo-Ensemble (« Kosovo Together »). Since it’s opening, the Kosovo Agency progressively specialized through concrete actions, and became a locally acknowledged stakeholder in some fields of activities, notably:

• Youth (Contact Point for SALTO Youth SEE, trainings of trainers, reference frame making for trainers, European youth exchanges…)

• Cross border cooperation (cross border forum of NGOs in 2004 in Kumanovo, Macedonia; cross border fair of youth NGOs in 2005 in Gjilan/Gnjilane; cross border guide of NGOs « DETEKTOR 2006 »)

• Information/training about Europe and local democracy (advises to the Association of Kosovo Municipalities, partnership with the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe of the Council of Europe, information and documentation centre created in the LDA office in Gjilan/Gnjilane…)
