Preparation:
Each group will prepare a presentation about their local community. We would like young people confronting with one of the key aspect of European Citizenship: participation. So this presentation has to answer the following questions:
- Why is important to participate
- How to participate
- Can we improve participation
Each group will decide which shape this presentation will take according to the skills of the group (power point, video, short theater play, ecc). It is important each group researching on new forms of participation which took place in their community/country.

Activities:

First Part:
We would like to help participants to build their own concept of European Citizenship. So in the first part there will be:
- Debate and Discussion on EC: the four dimension of Citizenship and formal and informal aspects of EC.
- Artistic Workshops on the History of EC: small groups will revisited the history of EC realizing craftworks, paintings, photos, etc.

Second part:
Showing the presentation made in the preparation phase: participants will share their point of view on this subject and there will be a discussion on new ways of participation.
Role play on participation: We also plan a role play in which small groups will realize their concept of an ideal city of the future where there are no obstacles to citizens’ participation.
Seminar: Seminar on Subsidiarity in European Society.
Realization and Distribution of the info-kit: In the last part of the exchange all the group will realize an info-kit about the topics of the exchange and their experience in general
