Summary of the project:‘A future strengthened by the past’ is a youth driven initiative which includes interaction between youth with fewer opportunities and elderly using non-formal techniques of education. The youth will be educated about contemporary issues relating to the priority themes and will then share this information with their elderly partners. The elderly will also in turn share youthful issues from their generation which the youth will use for comparative report.
Special considerations:Izmir Metropolitan Municipality aims to promote the interaction between institutions and young citizens with fewer opportunities (from a less-privileged cultural, socio-economic background or with disabilities) through a new informal space for discussion and non-formal learning. Our objective is to educate youth with the idea of citizenship and the legal rights in the context of the European Union.
