Summary of the project:The Grandparent Project is the pilot project of our Senior Volunteer Program. The project pairs older and retired persons, 50+, with immigrant and economically deprived children to practice the Dutch language, through storytelling and games. This Program will provide excluded children with stronger integration into the Dutch community. And our senior volunteer will be able to contribute to their local community while helping the strain on public services and integration courses.

Code-X is looking for partner organizations who want to address these same issues in their communities. Through seminars, cooperation and pilot projects in various EU countries, we hope to take this pilot project and create an EU initiative for developing volunteer projects for Seniors, which contribute to the positive development of youth in their local community.
