Summary of the project:Young athletes, football players from two countries, meet in Vukovar, Croatia, to make friends through their common interest in sports. At the beginning they are hardly aware of how much they have in common, but at the end of their 10 days together, they have full understanding of and are really excited about their slogan HEY SPORT! which stands for \"Healthy European Youth Supports Peoples Openness Respect and Tolerance\". Although athletes with a special discipline and relation towards health, they broaden their concept of health. They understand that being athletes and young they already are citizens of Europe, because they share and support some of the major EU principles , such as Openness, Respect and Tolerance. One of the major challenges of the project, is to find similarities and common points in these EU principles on the one hand and the football game rules and related code of conduct on the other. They develop Openness - mutual understanding and acceptance of personal and cultural differences and willingness to meet differences and develop sense of being equal and united). Activities are realised through workshops, discussions and outdoor activities, the most interesting of which are the mix team friendly matches and involving the girls in the \"typically boys\' game\". They upgrade their Respect and Tolerance on inter-personal and international levels. They learn about each other\'s cultures, customs and habits, and try to find as much as possible similarities, both individual and cultural, despite the fact that they come from two different countries, and speak different languages.
