Summary of the project:Gaming is not a Game: a tool to develop youth work will be a 5 day training course for youth workers and youth leaders which supports them in developing their skills in the playing of games with young people. The training will cover such topics as the theory and practice of game playing, theory of youth work, adapting games to suit different target groups and use them as a tool for non-formal learning. The training will be use as a starting point for youth workers and youth leaders in working with youths and it give participants the opportunity to bring their own games and adapt them to a non-formal learning environment; and the opportunity to develop their practical skills in leading games workshops.
Special considerations:The trainings course is led by an international team of experienced trainers and is only open for member states of the European Union and for Croatia and Turkey.
