Summary of the project:Soc Son District (Hanoi), Tam Dao District (Vinh Phuc province), Moc Chau District (Son La province) are 03 poor mountain districts of Northern Vietnam. Almost of the local population are ethnic people, who were illiterate, lack of education. Most of these people are farmers with very low income, are living in difficulty conditions. \\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nWhile they can’t aware clearly that children have rights to basic subsistence, education and so on for normal human development, many children here are facing with the great difficulty in education as their parents can not afford to send them to a normal school. Big rates of school-age kid drop out of school when they only finish studied primary school because their parents awared it’s enough. \\\\r\\\\n
Special considerations:With the purpose to help these ethnic children approach to supplement knowledge and skills needed for their future, CVTD is implementing an educational program in local schools. The programme aims at providing the children with basic English lessons and other extra activities including drawing, music and physical activities in leisure time.
